I recently set up a profile on MySpace, and have since become something of an addict. I finally managed to cut down my visits to about one per day and I guess the novelty will wear off entirely at some point. I wasn’t expecting the friend requests and e-mails from random people. This is clearly the best so far. I’m flattered, in a creeped-out kind of way, particularly since this individual is local. I thought about replying with something witty, for example, “Gee, thanks, I’ll be sure to forward your message to my husband,” but decided against it since I suppose any repsonse at all could be considered an invitation for an extended correspondence.
